The tablets themselves are fairly robust, though some do break up within the package during handling. This means you need to handle them carefully when removing from the container, and I did find it advisable to wash hands after contact as the concentrated formula can be somewhat irritating to skin. Since I began using these tablets, my dishes and glassware are coming out consistently clean, performing just as well as conventional alternatives I have used previously. The fragrance-free formulation is also suitable for households with sensitivities. Overall, this is a reliable dishwasher detergent that delivers effective cleaning results while eliminating plastic waste from the washing process, as long as you don't mind the occasional tablet breaking during handling.

5 stars for being plastic-free but I think my 3 stars come from the fact every cycle it leaves a cloudy residue on my plastic containers!! Strangely, glasses are clear and clean! But it is irksome to have to clean and wash the plastic containers again. Recommended but also not at the same time.

I have just finished using this packet of Fab Tab 100% Plastic -Free Dishwasher Tablets. I really liked the Eco credentials of these tabs, and I feel that they worked really well on my dishes, plus they took up hardly any space under my sink, which is really important when you live in a small home. I did not notice any residue as other reviews have mentioned, and thought that the dishes smelled nice and fresh after use. It is however important to use two as per the instructions if you have a really dirty load, but for most uses just one is fine. One thing I did notice was that they do not remove stains, such as tea, from my mugs. And I had to use a regular dishwashing tablet about once a week to get my mugs stain free. I realise that this is because they do not have the horrible bleaching agents in them like many others. And if you use them 90% of the time and a bleach containing one 10% it's still so much better for us and the planet! My only real complaint is that it states on the packaging that the tablets are highly caustic if touched and you must wash your hands thoroughly after use. I overcame this by using a set of metal tongs to get them out of the packet and into the dispenser. Then I just popped the tongs into the dishwasher. Problem solved, but something to be aware of if children are around, as there is not protective coating. Good for the environment but not so for kids.

It seems to work fine as long as you use a rinse aid. I guess makes sense since it's not like a pod where everything is included, except that it says you don't need it. You do. Without the rinse aid it leaves a slimy residue on plastic and glass. For items that have a decent amount of grease/condiments or a particularly large load you want to use 2 tabs according to the instructions. I haven't needed to use 2 yet. It really is fragrance-free, which I like because I don't need my dishes or dishwasher to smell artificially 'fresh' lol. And I appreciate that they aren't covered in plastic. Many of the tabs were broken, but mostly into 2 pieces so I can match them up for use. I didn't leave them in the bag they came in - I put them in a storage container so they wouldn't rub against each other. I just started using them, so I have a couple months to decide if they will continue to be my go-to.

I thought I'd try something new. I don't like the scented pods from Fairy and Finish where I feel the fragrance lingers on cups and glasses and changes the taste of my beverage. Finish 0% was my 'go to' pod but it's hard to find and rarely on sale. I was a little bit sceptical when I saw the small Fab Tab (less than half the size of a branded tab), but by golly it works. I haven't used it on baked in pots and pans, but for cutlery, crockery and regular sauce pans it worked perfectly. Spotless clean, no residue and no fragrance! The package says that you can double the tabs in the dispenser if you need to remove baked in grime, but I haven't tested it. I like the environmentally friendly packaging too. If they can maintain the price point, I'll be a regular customer! Keen to try other products in the range. Hopefully they'll release a rinse-aid soon.

I'm really happy with these dishwasher tablets. I like that they are free from plastic and don't use harsh chemicals so they are safer for my family and the environment. They did a really good job at cleaning my dishes and her everything shiny and clean. The glasses were crystal clear without any left over splash marks or residue.

Edit: After about a week of use I have noticed these leave a residue on the dishwasher door, and don't clean quite as well as the first few washes. I still think they're pretty good. These dishwasher tabs are great so far, I've been rather impressed with the cleaning properties. They wash quite well, just as good as regular 'name' brands. Everything has been coming out sparkly and shiny on use. I was actually a bit skeptical about these and I'm pleasantly surprised at how well they clean. The packaging says you might need two for highly soiled dishes but so far we've tried 1 tab and it's worked a treat. The tabs to seem a bit smaller than regular tabs, which is about the only drawback. That said, they work, so I'm not complaining. The other thing is these have no scent, which is good and bad depending on preferences-- I haven't really missed it, but if you're someone who loves super scented detergent you may need to add a rinse aid or something when using these. Adding half a lemon is also a nice eco-friendly alternative also. Love that the packaging is plastic-free and the tabs themselves have none of that protective film-- the 'dissolvable in water' plastic film that many other tab brands have. That dissolvable film is SUCH a pet peeve of mine-- dissolvable plastic is still plastic so I'm not sure why so many tab brands use it when you don't need it at all. It can't be good for the environment, and is probably worse than regular microplastics. Was so happy this didn't have them. Overall, I think these are great for the price and work really well.

These Fab Tab dishwasher tablets are great! You get a pack of 40 tablets, that come in 2 stacks of 20 which are both wrapped inside the bag. They are wrapped in brown paper, so straight away huge points for environment friendly product. The tablets themselves use no harmful chemicals and use plant and mineral based ingredients, they are also unscented. They seem to clean really well! The tablets are fairly compact so for any heavy loads, you could probably add a second tablet into your machine. I was actually surprised with the Fab Tabs across the board. Compact tablet with a big clean and great price point all while being 100% plastic-free huge environment benefit. 5 Stars!

I like the ingenuity that went into making these dishwasher tablets more eco-friendly (both reducing plastic packaging and no harmful chemicals in the detergent) but they are still pretty easy and convenient to use The tablets come packed in a paper sleeve which keeps the detergent compressed into single doses. This means they stay in their original shape and don’t bump around in the box turning into powder. You just need to make sure your hands are dry before getting a tablet out. The active ingredients are enzyme based instead of using chemicals that are harmful when washed onto our waterways. I have tried a load of dishes which had some plates, cups, glassware and cutlery as well as a scrambled egg pot. Pretty normal and nothing was dried or caked on. Everything cleaned up really well with no streaks except for the scary egg pot(worth a shot but it doesn’t usually clean up with my regular tablets anyway) I was happy with the rest of the load.

Excellent cleaning power even though the tablet is 1/3 the size of the common supermarket brands. I did a 90 minute quick wash and the glasses and crookery came out shiny and sparkling clean. Even the stainless steel cutlery looked great with no watermarks, no chalky residue or hazing. They were just perfectly shiny and clean. It is great to have un-fragranced dishwashing tabs as I loathe the foul lemony scent that leaches into our plastic containers, plus the chalky or soapy film that remains and actually defeats the point of a dishwasher as it contaminates and taints the flavour of the food. Other dishwasher tablet and powder companies should take note. These tabs are great in comparison and don't leave any yucky residue or scent. I am certain this is better for your dishwasher and families long term health. They are a little fiddly to get out of the pack, they need gentle handling and an airtight container to prevent them getting some crumbles but it is a small price to pay considering how effective they are and the small space they take up. Also, you will have to take a good hard look at yourself while unpacking the dishwasher... as even the surfaces of our cheap old Kmart bowls are like new and suddenly shiny enough to see our own reflection in. Theses Fab Tab Dishwasher Tablets are tiny but powerful. You get a pack of 40 tabs mindfully packaged, in a small resealable bag. I was taken aback by how tiny they are compared to my existing dishwasher tabs and pods. Completely free from fragrance and plastics, good for you, your dishwasher and the environment. The pack takes up barely any room in my cupboard, that's a bonus. To use just pop a tab in your normal dispenser, and wash as usual. My normal cycle is 60 minutes at 60 degrees and everything came out sparkling clean, with no water marks. My dishwasher was packed to the brim, the result was excellent. I can't comment on stuk-on food, as I always give my dishes a quick rinse by hand first. My Kleenmaid dishwasher is 18 years old and still works as good as new!
